Getting Back

Hi Guys,

I'm Janz, a 30 year old duffer from Manila. I started playing golf when I was 26 but after almost a year of playing I went into hiatus because I got involved in motorcycle road racing. I planning to get back into the game caused I missed it so much.

I was wondering if I have to re-learn the swing because of the long break. When I was still playing my former golf pro told me that I should take this game seriously because I had a good swing and with a smooth relaxed putting stroke to match. I drove the ball over 280 yards on several occassions (is that a good average?) and even won a putting tournament sponsored by an equipment dealer here. But my problems occur on the second shots and mid shots, whether it be a fairway wood or iron.

Would it be hard to get back into form and fix my dreaded 2nd shots? What would you guys suggest?

Thanks in advance fellas.
