That's because both companies have a reputation with not wanting to "Jump on the Band Wagon" so to speak. (especially Ping). Up Grooves are patented by I beleive 2-3 different companies (Yes being one of them with a C-Groove). Ping and Scotty Cameron (Titliest)would have to spend tons of money licensing the use of a groove like that and they're not gonna do it...it would be
ahem 'beneath them'.
Solheim (who I admire very much by the way)can say anything he wants about how he thinks grooves are pointless on a putter face; the fact is that actual physical tests have proved that grooves do allow the ball to roll from impact quicker than a smooth face. It maybe just a little bit, but it's something.
