PGA Tour rookie and former ASU standout Chez Reavie has received a sponsor's exemption for the 2008 FBR Open, Tournament Chairman Tim Louis announced Monday.
"I am so excited, this tournament is like a major for me," Reavie said in a statement from San Diego, where he is set to play in the Buick Invitational this week.
A Scottsdale resident and graduate of Dobson High School in Mesa, Reavie was a three-time All-America golfer at Arizona State University, and he won the 2001 U.S. Public Links Championship.
