I don't have the slightest idea whether I ever introduced myself when I joined here some time ago. (Senior moment...)

The name is Dennis Miller, same as the guy on television, but I had the name first.

I'm originally from Kentucky, graduated U. of Louisville in 1972. My wife is from Jamaica, the island, not New York, and we lived there for 6 years in the 70's. My belly attests to her good cooking.

What was then a very good golf game paid for college and for about 9 months after graduation, I was an Assistant Club Pro at Hunting Creek Country Club outside of Louisville. I finally realized I had stars in my eyes and went off to make an honest living. My game today is in no way as good as it once was, but I think I enjoy it more now.

We have two grown kids, a son and a daughter. There are now 3 grandkids who live in Raleigh, NC and we are up there about every other month to see them. Lifting my grandchildren is my exercise program.

I'm the Executive Director of a synagogue in Miami. That's sometimes a 24/7 job and a big emotional roller coaster between helping people who are celebrating something joyful all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum having to help people who are sick and who have just suffered a death in their family.

When I'm not playing golf or working, I probably have a guitar in my hands. I have 16 guitars and yes, I play them all...
