Ochoa trails by eight shots

Rolex Rankings number one Lorena Ochoa shot even-par 71 on Saturday to move into a tie for sixth place at the SemGroup Championship Presented by John Q. Hammons. The 26-year-old trails third-round leader Paula Creamer by eight shots entering the final round of play at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Ochoa made birdie on her second hole of the third round, but countered with a bogey on three to remain even for the day. Back-to-back birdies on holes eight and nine pushed her to 2-under on the day, but back-to-back bogies on holes 11 and 12 again knocked her back to even where she remained for the rest of the day.

The LPGA record for largest come-from-behind victory is 10 shots shared by Annika Sorenstam (2001 The Office Depot Hosted by Amy Alcott) and Mickey Wright (1964 Tall City Open). If Ochoa were to come back to win, she would tie the LPGA record for most consecutive wins in tournaments participated with five.
