We have the same passion, I live to ice fish & golf. I use to make it to Upper Red Lake every winter, but with the gas prices now a day's it's hard to do now. I picked up a boat this summer and am giving that a try but that gets spendy too. I have a good friend that lives in Bemidji and teaches school at Red Lake Res. Keep in touch, I sometimes just get the bug to drive and maybe I will head that way. Haven't seen my buddy in a while.

Hey Boxcar,
I may know your buddy. My wife works at the school there as well, and I have a couple buddies working up there too. Believe me, you didn't miss much on Upper Red this past winter, tough fishing. Year before you couldn't keep em' off the hook, but last year was a reversal...at least for me. Let me know the next time you head up.
