I've played off and on since I was about 11.
I can spin the ball as much as I need to. My problem is keeping things in line. With my big hack of a swing, a little misshit goes a long ways the wrong ways. lol
I used to play whatever titleists were the flavor of the month. Lately I've been playing Pinnacle Golds ($15 for a box of 15). Price isn't really a problem, but if two are comparable then I would go for the cheaper.

You can spin it as much as you need to. But if you play a ball with more backspin, it will help keep your 300 yd drive on line. High spin, soft cover ball.
Take your pick, all golf ball companies have one. I'm pretty sure Nike has a "control" ball for around 25-35 bucks for 15.
