As for having a fast swing and needing a stiffer shaft. Maybe, maybe not. It depends on how you load the shaft. It will also effect your ball flight.
I do not swing super fast and I play S200 Dynamic Golds. Better control, and it also helps me lower the ball flight. I tend to hit the ball high, and I play a windy course. So the lower ball flight helps.
You need to go to a club builder or a PGA Pro. Have your swing speed measured. You might be suprised and find out you are not swinging that fast.
Hit some different irons with different shafts to find out what is best for you.
Most people think they swing 100 MPH when in reality it is more like 75-80 MPH. Read "The Search For The Perfect Club" by Tom Wishon. It contains some of the best knowledge you can read when it comes to buying golf clubs. |
