| I might just have to get one and do some testing myself.
(I'm a geek for this kind of stuff! Did I mention I made my own makeshift stimpmeter just so I could rate the carpet at my house??)
If it has the ability to make a plus, as you say, I am almost 100% confident that the second line will be the best line to use if you want it to roll straight. That second line would essentially be the same as the one represented in my 2nd illustration.
I did some thinking about it, and once you get the fist line laid down correctly, ANY line perpendicualr to it would give you the same good (straight for putting) result. It just HAS to be perpendicular otherwise it would veer left or right.
Like you said, the out of center core would just roll up over itself.
I wonder how much 2 piece balls are off compared to 3 piece? I would think 2 piece balls would have less of an issue.
Cheers,
-Troy
