Well, I did some more testing with my "Check-N-Go" machine today and below is a whole lot more pictures of the fun I had.
First: I used a ball that I had marked previously when I first got the device to verify the repeatability.
Second: I took two shots trying to capture the logo while the ball was spinning for verification - both times, the line is in the same spot as when I first marked it
Here you can see the logo - hopefully dispelling any thoughts of trickery
From those pictures, it looks like the machine still operates as intended.
Also, with the warmer weather in Michigan I did try putting a few on the practice retangle / putting green (@ my local driving range) and was impressed with the rolling properties of the ball
