Hi.

My name is John, I am from Long Island, New York, home of the famous, (or in my case, infamous), Bethpage Black, (insert sinister music here).

I love this game, I've played all my life and was even a 2 handicap "back in the day". I'm 49 years old and now I'm a legit 8-10 handicap, but I plan to make that better this season.

I build my own clubs and have done so for many years. I like Golfsmith's stuff and Golworks as well. I did, however, recently purchase a name brand driver, (something I haven't done in almost twenty years), because I need to know if they're really worth it.

Anyway, I joined this forum after reading several posts in a variety of threads and I liked what I saw. This seems to be a rather relaxed atmoshphere, (unlike some other boards which shall remain nameless), and I'm looking forward to hanging out here.
