I can't tell you how much you guys are helping me through this re-equip process. Thanks again.

Dude, you won't find a club with a launch monitor you have to hit the club on a launch monitor. It tracks and analyzes data from your swing to figure distance, club speed, ball speed, etc.. You can do this at any golf retail shop such as Golfsmith, Golf USA, Golf Galaxy, etc... or maybe you have a local shop where you live. Any time you buy a club it is worth it to make sure it has the right flex of shaft and sets up for your swing, best of all it is usually free to have this done.

V-Steel, Synchron II

There is in my opinion very little difference in many of the contemporary fairway woods right now. I'm not saying they play the same but the specs are super close. The V-Steel is great and the old Synchron II which is a tight lies clone are in my opinion incredible clubs. The Synchron II is about a fourth of the price of the TM but I saw the V-steel on clearance at Golf Galaxy for 79.00 this past weekend.

The best fairway metal that TaylorMade produced was the old 200 series. Those clubs were hot! If you can find one buy it.

this all amazing information. i think i have decided on the titleist 904. a 15 degree, stiff shaft model. its lofted enough to close the face to draws but not too much as to where the ball can get too flighted. does anyone recommend a shaft? the options on TGW are a fujikura speeder, a ys-6, or i've seen them on ebay equipped with a aldila nv-75. what does everyone think?

I have the stock Titleist 4375 shaft in mine, R Flex. Seems to be a good shaft. Ball flight is not really that high either, good into the wind. Off the tee I can hit it high if need be.
You can always buy it on ebay with the stock shaft at a good price then change the shaft if you do not like the stock one.
People have to remember, OEM's spend money designing shafts for their clubs. I know you can say that most OEM's just stick crappy shafts in, but I think that is a thing of the past now. JMO

The G5 is incredible. I'm a big fan of the Doublewall 3,5 wood as well.
