Best Fairway Wood...

What's your favorite fairway wood and why. I'm looking to buy maybe a new 3- and 5-wood and I would love to hear some opinions on some. Let me know...

I am playing Titleist 904F's in 15 & 19 degree lofts. I love these clubs, low boring trajectory which is perfect for the windy course I play on. I hit the 3 wood off the tee a lot and can keep up with my buddies and their drivers. They set up nice behind the ball and actually promote a slight draw. At least for me they do.
I have had quite a few fairway woods in my golf career but right now I would say the 904's are the best I have owned.

Thanks so much for the opinions. For an young amateur golfer such as myself, the information is very useful.

What do you think is the best way to try out clubs? You can hit them at some stores but you obviously can't observe the flight characteristics of the club.

Go to a club with a driving range, preferably one with a launch monitor where you can see the exact data of you shots and not just rely on which one "felt" good. Hopefully this will give you the most consistant club for your swing.

Remember to try different shafts, two different steel shafts can be sometimes more than 15yd different, make sure you find the right shaft to go along with whatever head you choose.

Yup with a range and ask the pro there to come and watch you hit the clubs

I've still got my old Adams Tight Lies 3W I use, and I love the thing... rockets from the fairway.

Now if I could just hit it as well from the tee......

Thanks guys. That all sounds like useful advice.

How do I find a club with a launch moniter? And if I do find one, how will they have the club that I want to try out? I'm sorry I'm so uneducated about this stuff, I just have the philosophy that if I'm gonna spend a lot of money that I want to know everything about what I'm doing. I can't tell you how much you guys are helping me through this re-equip process. Thanks again.

Hot FW Woods!!

Have any of you tried the TourEdge Exotics woods?? I can guarantee that it is the longest fairway wood out and has an amazing feel. If you ever go to a golf shop or see a buddy that has one you must try it. You will no doubt be impressed. Please reply and let me know.
