In the past year, I've tried a Bertha that is something less than 460... but with results better than the X460 or FT-i that I tried. I still have it as my backup driver.

I recently picked up a Cleveland Launcher 460 Titanium that I really like. I have no idea what the technology hiding inside the head might be, but I seem to be longer with it and can bend it either way. To whatever extent confidence in the club counts, this Cleveland does it for me. Currently, you can land a new one for under $150 and with the introduction of the new Hibore XL, there are brand new original Hibore models now on the market under $150 too.

I'm playing with it, still new to the game, but can drive very straight at more than 150m. Very forgiving club ever played with

$200 driver

I just bought the Adams Ovation 2. I love it. Easy to hit. Long. What else do you need. It was $149

Hmmm.. Which model? I have a 9.5 degree Hibore that feels fine and is long when I hit it right, but it's the regular model with the closed face and I'd prefer the tour model with the open face.

Which have you got?

BTW - has anyone else seen the clone square driver for $69 at TGW? It would be funny if it was a good club for 1/7th the price of the Nike or Callaway.

My dad just bought the 580XD for $130 from Dic'ks. Brand new...you can't beat that. I have bought a couple clubs off ebay though, and I've been very satisfied. I paid $190 for my G5 off of ebay. A lot of people are a little cautious when it comes to buying off ebay. But, if you're smart you can find some great deals.

Some advice for you if you're going to go the ebay route. Use paypal...you can ALWAYS get your money back if you use paypal. If you order a club and it's in a condition OTHER than what's listed, you can easily get your money back. I've been using ebay for a long time now, and I've not had any complaints.
