Just got my Sumo 2 driver replacement from NIke today...=)
After careful examination I couldn't tell the difference between the two...
The head size and the weight seemed exactly the same on both Sumo 2 drivers.
I expected to see a difference in the size but I guess the manufacturing defect on the size of the head was indeed minimal as Nike stated.
I took the new conforming Sumo 2 driver out for a test on the range and I still couldn't tell the difference in the distance.
Just as with my original Sumo 2, I was able to tee off to around 330 yards consistently dead straight.
More and more I use this driver, I am falling in love with it and the sound doesn't even bother me anymore...=)
I just love the low kick tragectory I get from my Sumo 2 driver fitted with Aldila vs Proto shaft compared to my wife's Callaway FT-i which has a very high trajectory for my taste.
My wife uses the 11 degree FT-i and she loves the high ball flight she gets from this driver.
I do believe Callaway FT-i is a perfect driver for players who struggle to launch the ball high from the tee however may I remind everyone that too high of a trajectory means less distance and more vulnerable to wind.
