Great read! | Hehe... Well here's some more FTi fodder for your consideration. Today my last 2 drives were..... well, all I can say I even impressed myself. On 16, I smacked one down the middle on the 550 yard par 5 and was left with just 240 to the green. Then on 18, a 436 yard par 4, I was left with only 50 yards to the green. I admit I cut the dogleg, but I carried a bunker (with plenty to spare) that sits at 270 yards from the tee. I hit that one so far that it ran through the end of the fairway, and in the 30 years I've been playing this course I have NEVER done that before. And that with my 60 year old body.
Did I say that I like this club?

In additon, I would also like to test various putters. Heavy putter,
Odyssey White Hot, Scotty Cameron, Yes, others.
If anyone sees anything I missed, say something, and if I see it, I'll keep you in mind. | Why would you test a cobra F or M with your clubheadspeed, also what is your handicap if you drive the ball so well why would you test so many game-improvement irons? Put some real clubs in there.
If I do a test like this My list would be:
Drivers: Cobra Pro X-speed, Titleist 907 D2, Ping Rapture, Callaway FT-5 and FT-i, Cleveland Hi-Bore XL, and my Nike SQ Tour
Irons: Titleist 695MB, Titleist 735CM, Mizuno MP-67, Taylor Made R7 tp, Taylor Made Rac tp, Cleveland CG1
I've already tested lots of wedges and nothing compares to the Spin Milled from Titleist, Cleveland is not even close

The clubs you like fit your swing and playing style... they wouldn't necessarily fit mine or that of 300Yards. That's is why there are so many possibilities.... lots of opinions and lots of swings out there.

| my point is that the cobra f and m speed aren't designed for someone to hit the ball 340-350. the m is for people to hit it 230. and i'm just wondering since he has such high clubhead speed and hits it so far but wants to test clubs that wouldn't do anything for him personally. And with the irons i'm just curious because he hits the driver so far yet the irons on his list are made for mid-high handicappers, maybe he just hits it far and not much else but the clubs i put in are for someone who can play golf at a low handicap.

| Thanks Just joined the forum and this is exactly what I was looking for. Playing the Cobra F Speed and while accurate, only pushing it 250 whereas former Hawkeye VFT was in the 270-280 range. Therefore the affair is over now that I am questioning her ability (not mine of course) and ready to shop for something new. Interested to see your take on the MX 900s as I have them and love them. Thanks

| I'll be using my new FT-i for the first time tomorrow, or maybe not... The course we are playing is tight, a plus... but it's also VERY hard and the fairways roll two or three times as far as they would if we weren't on water restrictions here right now. I usually hit it around 240-250 off the tee. Last week on the same course, provided the card and fairway distance markers were correct, and they seemed to be, I was about 20 yards longer on average. I'm not sure hitting a new driver for the first time on that particular course will be the best idea, so I'll take my X460 with me too and we'll see how my initial report turns out.

I've already tested lots of wedges and nothing compares to the Spin Milled from Titleist, Cleveland is not even close | I'm going to test anything I see, that I like. I am doing tests so other people can see which they might like. Not just for myself. I want a high hndcapeer to read this and find a club that they think they would like. I am going to test the Cobra, because I can...hopefully it will snap in two. Oh, and I am 1.6 handicap. Most of the clubs you list are on my list..please read it again before attacking me..

I don't know what all the hot new stuff is, I just listed what I know for now, and I'll list more, when I go back to GS. No need to test everything that the golf gods provide at one time..
BTW, my short game is great..I am a better iron player that I am a driver player..scary huh?

BTW, my short game is great..I am a better iron player that I am a driver player..scary huh? | i wasn't listing more clubs for you to test im listing the one's that might fit my game as i'm a +1. personally if i'm gonna test clubs i'll test the ones that could be on par or better than whats in my bag. its on others to test the clubs that they might like. for you to test a cobra m-speed and say you it it 330 with clubhead speed at 129 would mean nothing to someone in the market for that driver since they have no chance of ever having those kinds of numbers. It's misleading for a 20 handicapper who swings the club 80mph to derive any pertinent information from what you had. My point is that you testing a club like that does no good for anyone, it doesn't help your game to test a club that's not designed for a player like you and it doesn't help a player who would buy that club because they can't relate to your test results.
Also, none of the irons i listed were on your list. and i don't know how scary that is for you to hit your irons better because i haven't seen you play. and i would know i hit my irons pretty damn well
