Thumbs up The UPS Man Came Today With My New Sumo Squared.....Wow!!!!

So I was at work and doing the norm (looking out the window waiting for 3:30 to come about so I can go shoot 18 ) and there he was....the UPS man!!! It was here, finally after waiting a week and a half he was upon my door step holding a box that was just big enough to hold a new driver.

So I head out to the course early (work will still be there for me tomorrow) and I wanted to hit the range before I tried to smack a new driver on the course for score, anyway I got a small bucket and did a few warm up shots and let the new Sumo scream, immediately the sound get everyones attention......was it loud yes.....was it sweet yes.....was it enough to make the guy next to me say he should have went with a Sumo rather then his new FT-i yes....I fell in love instantly (so did he ) the drives were amazing, all straight as an arrow and pushing 300 easily, I was in so much excitement my game today sucked, the drives were killer but I was to wound up like a 5 yea old at Christmas to make my irons do anything for me all in all I am 200% satisfied with this club, I came from a Sasquatch Tour with the Grafalloy Blue shaft and this club is so much better IMO, I really can't see why any one wouldn't want it. Here's the thing, I think this will appeal to the young crowd for a few reasons, it hits like a truck, it's as loud as a freight train, and it's looks could intimidate a weak minded golfer....that being said the younger crowd is more likely to want those things in a driver over an older golfer who is more reserved in their game and is looking for a lower key club that doesn't shout "Hey look at me!!" every time you crank one over 300 yards without trying.

Congratulation on the new driver. My FT-i arrived this morning, so I challenge you to lies at 20 paces about our improved ball striking!

I know what you mean about weird driver sounds. My Callaway X460 rings so loudly when you hit it that I'm always afraid the kids at the school across the street from where I play are going to change classes every time I hit a drive.

300 yards without trying?? Come on, the Smo 2 ain't near that hot! But if you like it, good for you! Hope you have years of happiness with it! I personally would have gone with the FT-i over it, but to each his/her own.

I know what you mean..first day I got my Krank, I went out to the course to try it. First driver hole I came to, I pulled it out, and let it fly.. I hit this thing, and the plink it made was screeching..I never have hit a better club. I love new clubs!

Doesn't everyone hit the ball 300 plus? I mean come on, I read about it all the time on golf forums. "Got me a new Sumo, hit it 300+ all day long, dead center" "Bought a new Wank Driver, hit it 320 all day long"
Meanwhile the PGA Tour's longest driver, Bubba Watson sits at 313.5 yards average. Now why is he so short if he is on the PGA?

Personally I think the Sumo 2 is just plain butt ugly. I have held it in my hands many times and still think it is ugly. I could live with the FT-1 if need be, but not that Sumo!

Congratulations on the new driver... Regardless of our personal tastes, it's still so much fun to get stuff in the mail.

All this talk of 300+ drives makes me feel like a tiny man.

Honestly that is what I like about it, instead of going with conservitive and nice they went all out and went with huge and fugly, it's like the 2002 Subaru Impreza, they design that car with ugly in mind just te get attention and it worked, it's prolly just marketing to get everyone talking about it

I would agrre it marketing. I personally didn;t notice any difference in how straight my shots went, as opposed to non square clubs. I thought the SUmo 2 was easy to work, just hard to control on hooks/slices.
