My putter is 32 inches, most putters are 35 off the shelf. I would think a 36 inch driver would be too short, but if it works for you

Well I guess if it doesn't work I will have to go back to hitting my hybrid. But also I am only 14 years old so I am only 5'4 so it should work. Since I hit a slice way the wrong direction with the driver like 46" so even if I hit it shorter and in the fairway it is better.

I'm 6'2" and 45" is as long as I would want to go. It fits me pretty perfectly. Lets me stand in a good athletic posture and swing very fluidly and freely. If I go too short, there is a tendency to overswing for me. Usually that is what happens when I swing my hybrid.

I really agree with Cody. I read this thread a couple of weeks ago when I just got my burner. Keep in that I think I was mis informed at the shop. my swing speed is 98 to 107 but they told me to get a regular shaft and I am finding it's far too whippy for me.(300 yards feel free to chime in here with your always good vice). that aside - the length of the burner shaft is just a little stupid-long for me. I am 5'10 and have a nicely grooved power swing -inside to out - but the length of the burner shaft just screwed it up - every club I have in my bag I hit a nice slight draw with and the burner was just erratic and I never got comfy with the longer shaft at address. I am going to today to trade her in for an r-7 or something else to my liking. I hit the burner very long - easy to coax 290 out of the club - but just doesnt feel right and therefor I hit it erratically and 100 yards straight is better then 300 in the next fairway.

control is distance, less unwanted mishits due to more control, and overall makes more distance due to control.

got the burner back

the screws popped out of my 460 the other day and I was really pissed about this. the whole movable weight thing sucks imho - my driver was rendered usless in the middle of my round - not the end of the world but annoying. So .... I got my Buner back but with a diff flex shaft (from reg to stiff) and hit it just fine..so alls well that ends well..

Where is your 300 yard tests? I'd like to see them.

Regular?? Yeah, I'd say that is much to whippy for you..the guy who fitted you needs to be fired! I'd agree that the burner at stock length at 46" is ridiculous! I'm getting one tomorrow actually, and I am having it reshafted with a 45" V2 76g midkick. The R7 is a fine club, and if you think you'd do better with it, then it's up to you to trade it or not. With that said, that burner is pretty easy to fit, as long as your properly fitted for it. You sure you don't wanna try a stiffer shaft first? The decision is yours really..
