I am 5'10 and have a nicely grooved power swing -inside to out - but the length of the burner shaft just screwed it up - every club I have in my bag I hit a nice slight draw with and the burner was just erratic and I never got comfy with the longer shaft at address. I am going to today to trade her in for an r-7 or something else to my liking. I hit the burner very long - easy to coax 290 out of the club - but just doesnt feel right and therefor I hit it erratically and 100 yards straight is better then 300 in the next fairway. |
Regular?? Yeah, I'd say that is much to whippy for you..the guy who fitted you needs to be fired! I'd agree that the burner at stock length at 46" is ridiculous! I'm getting one tomorrow actually, and I am having it reshafted with a 45" V2 76g midkick. The R7 is a fine club, and if you think you'd do better with it, then it's up to you to trade it or not. With that said, that burner is pretty easy to fit, as long as your properly fitted for it. You sure you don't wanna try a stiffer shaft first? The decision is yours really..
