Taylormade Burner ?

Hi, Anyone tested the TM Burner Driver yet ? At the moment I use a Cobra 400 SZ Unlimited 9.0 Stiff. Would like to replace this, with one of the latest 2007 offerings. Have recently tried out :-

Nike Sumo ( Non Square )
Cobra Speed Pro D
Cobra Speed LD F
Cobra Speed Pro S
Callaway FT5
TM Superquad
Cleveland Hibore XL

I have listed the above in order of preference ie the Nike Sumo ( Non Square ) being my favorate ( just Can't seem to hit a bad shot with it. 'Open mouth and insert foot' ) with the Speed Pro D coming very close. ( H/Cap 6.0. Swingspeed 92 MPH )

The only one I have not tried is the Burner.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated, on all 8

I have tested most of those..please see my test under 300Yards Driver tests, and 300Yards driver tests and more, to see my opinions of these clubs. WHat is your Swing speed? Perhaps I can make a recommendation.

Switched from a TM R7 W/ Fujikura pro shaft(stiff)dual to the Cobra LD F W/ Reg. flex, and I gained about 30 yds on my drives, and got rid of my natural fade. The weight thing is overrated from TM IMO.

I've tested the Burner in both the regular and Tour model. The regular one has a .350 shaft and the Tour model has a .335 and is 100 bucks more expensive. Both of these clubs are SUPER. They're 46" long, if that makes a difference to you...but they also hit LONG. It's a very hot driver and I think hotter than the superquad r7.

You've really picked the best of the best and cream of the crop and I also prefered the Nike model you have listed over the square model by far. You won't go wrong with ANY of them. It still comes down to which one YOU HIT the best. You probably owe it to yourself to try the Burner first...it could come out on top and you won't know until you give it a shot.

A word of advice, don't get a driver over 45" unless you are 6'5" or more.

Well I cut my driver down to a little over 36". I haven't got a chance to drive with it yet buy my hybrid is about that length and I can it that awesome. So I think I should be able to do the same with my driver.

36"?? Thatt is really short for a driver! Hopefully it'll work for you.
