If not, why not?
Dynacraft is 9.5*. I usually shoot in the low 90's and hit the 80's about 25% of the time. My last round was a 91. My biggest trouble is getting off the tee box. I spend most of my round scrambling after poor tee shots. I am convinced better driving will get me into the upper 80's more often.

I plan to take some more lessons but since this is the driver equipment forum, I just wanted to discuss my recent attempt to change my equipment.

I tend to swing steeply. I am working on flattening my swing plane. The club fitter didnt put anything under 9* in my hand. He was obsessed with getting my spin up for some reason.

I don't need to prove anything to you or anyone. If YOU KNOW some things about the wrist positions and how they affect flight, why don't you just spill it wiseass? If you know anything about ANYTHING, just spit it out instead of your drivel.

I spilled a whole bunch of information yesterday about all of the kick points of shafts. Did you ever see that before? If so, why didn't you contribute and post it?

It's jerkoffs like you that want to make me say what Hogan did to someone years ago about his secret to golf..."Go dig it outta the ground like I did".

Well, as 300 stated...I don't know why he was so concerned with spin.
You were already hitting it high from your description. Continued lessons will help, don't stop those. The next time, try a lower loft such as an 8.5 and 7.5 and get back to us on the results. Lets go from there since you were limited to 9.5 initially. Also, see if you can get something with a little more hooked face to it like a Cobra or the Taylormade draw bias.

So I am there swinging 300 to 400 dollar clubs and not getting anything that stuck out....aside from the fact that the Taylor Made Burner just felt nice and the Rapture was second. My frustration finding a driver (and yes, I am willing to spend some dough!) lead me to see your review on the Krank. That sparked an interest since I am wanting to find that "special" club. Once quick question....I dont care to work the ball...I only want to hit it down the middle...Would you say the mid to high handi cappers could benefit from the Krank?

Thanks again,

Shermdog
Yes, I think you would benefit greatly..go for it! Be a Krankster like me!

The ball flight was not a boring one....rather it got up quickly and then tended to fade. My current driver is an old Dynacraft that I made in my garage. Its face is small so I am used to teeing the ball low. However, wanting to catch up with the modern tech, I booked a time with the local fitted at my range. I had never swung a 460CC club. I like them but like I said, the ball ballooned on me. Went up quick and faded....sometimes a slice. Fell to the ground on a more downward angle.
Glad you said that..if I were you, I'd try an a 8.5* head, with a stiff, highkick shaft. That should bring the trajectory down a bit. ALso, with the Krank, your RPMS are going to fall into the 1900 range or lower..so just be careful not to tee it to low. Also, you should more or less twist with your hips instead of sliding..try to imagine your belly button facing the target through impact, this should help you get a more square face to the target...and if that doesn't help..then try to weaken your grip just a tad.

Thanks again 300.....what you said makes sense to me. I am going to the range this afternoon to work on this a little.

I guess that what I have found out is that my swing SUCKS! If it were better, maybe I would be able to tell a difference between the current new drivers on the market.

You are so very welcome. It takes a while..don't be so hard on yourself! I didn't learn this stuff overnight..not did Lead Tape either..I have been playing for close to 13 years now..just stick with it, and things will come for you. You have a great swing speed, and seem to understand a lot of what were saying, so I expect you will do fine after you get through this little stumbling block.
