Here it is, 4 days shy of Christmas and I played a round of golf today. Now some of you might think. "Big deal, he played golf on December 21" However you have to remember I live in Ontario Canada. Normally we are not playing golf at this time of year. Normally we have snow on the ground by now.

Anyways, I played, and considering I had not played for the last 3 1/2 weeks I played well. Shot a +9 on a course I have only played once before. Just over 6100 yards with greens that were bumpy due to being areated and not filling in. Factor in the tempature of no higher than +5C which in turn makes the ball not travel as far, I had a pretty decent round. Drove the ball well, my iron play was a little sloppy at times. That cost me at least 5-6 strokes.

It was a BONUS ROUND, and my buddy and I had fun playing it.

We are at about freezing temp at the moment. My course may be on temps tomorrow and xmas eve, but I will still be there.

i went up to my local course yesterday and as im sure that a lot of you will be aware the fog which has been keeping a lot of the planes from heathrow down isnt that great for golf either. we could hardly see 120 yards so in the end we spent an hour whcking golf balls around the driving range. oh yeah, the temperature was below freezing to.

Temps here have been pleasant. The only ill weather we've had in the past couple days is 30-40 mph wind.

When I was on the range today, I was scattering everyone else. I was at the far right end and every time I hit a shot, the divot would fly up into the air, then go dead left in the wind and pelt everyone behind me with our sandy soil.

It's supposed to be nice tomorrow and through the weekend and Monday. I'm hoping to play Saturday and Monday, but Sunday, there's just too much to do while stores are still open and the grandkids are going to be here.

Those 30 MPH breezes are tough to play in. The course I play is wide open and it gets windy out there. I mean windy. When I have to hit 6 irons from 120 to reach a green when I normally hit a 6 iron 165-170 then you know it is windy!
Makes for fun golf though!
