Can someone explain what all the tours are? PGA, Champions, etc... Senior is what age?

Do players go to and from PGA to Champions, etc.? Can you play in the PGA if you're a Senior?

champions tour are for pros who didnt qualify for the "PGA Tour", the one with the big purses. Top 225? money winners qualify for all the next years event, plus other exemptions (Major is 10 yr exemption, tour win is 2 yr, etc..). there is a 3rd tour too for those unable to make the champtions tour (even less $).

You are eligible to play the senior tour once you turn 50. That year you can do both tours as you like. Once you turn 50 it's up to you to pick the tour you like, but I don't know many over 50 who can still compete in the PGA tour. The seniors tour is a bit easier on the players (lower rough, shorter holes, they can ride carts if need be, etc).
