Not because the U.S. is winning by a lot...

I like the way Captains Gary & Jack have "marketed" the event in ways that made the players enjoy it, but while maintaining the camraderie across team lines in the way they seem to be enjoying. These guys come by their individual competative natures easily enough, but to see them approach the event with less than life or death on the line is wonderful. At its heart, I believe golf is meant to be a friendly game and I applaud Gary & Jack for keeping the animosity out of it.

The Ryder Cup organizers could take a lesson from the President's Cup.

Hi Dennis,

I just joined this site. I starting playing golf six months ago and have fallen in love with it. I am 42 and have never played the game previously. Anyway, I want to learn as much as I can about the game.
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Autumn, welcome to the forum...

When you want to post a new thread, just go to the section which would be most appropriate to put it in and above all the titles of the previously posted threads, you'll see a button, (top left), that says, "New Thread"... Just click on it, give your new thread a title and compose the body of the thread. You should get an email telling you whenever someone else answers any thread you participate in.
