| The Doctor Says No! I've had some nagging little injuries that have made golf a pain, no pun intended. Tennis elbow was the worst of it until last weekend.
Last weekend, I injured my right knee, (stepped off the curb and landed wrong), and the doctor has told me that I can't play any golf until he determines what the course of action will be. I'm supposed to have some fancy x-rays Friday, not quite CAT scans, then to determine whether I need surgery. The knee is totally unstable and it literally makes a snapping sound you can hear when I walk. It will probably keep me home while I should have been in North Carolina at Thanksgiving.
Getting old ain't for sissies! Mostly, I'm just pissed off because I wanted to play next week in NC.

A few years back, I lost most of a summer after having to have elbow surgery in June, right in the heart of the golfing season. It is very difficult to have to keep telling yourself "No, you can't just give it a try.".

| I did the x-rays today and their initial remarks had to do with a partially torn ligament that I can't pronounce. This is complicated by the onset of arthritis, just another irritation to factor in. Once the real doctor reads the x-rays, my doctor said they will probably want to send me for an MRI and get a really good picture of what is going on.
In the meantime, I'll be picking up a prescription for some drugs to keep down the swelling and I'm supposed to stay off my feet. Needless to say, my wife has already warned me that it doesn't mean I should expect to be waited on hand and foot. BUT THAT'S WHAT I DO BEST HONEY !!!!!
