Hey golfers,
Did anyone see that Darren Clarke wants to come back into golf and be on the Ryder Cup team. If Woosie chooses Clarke, will the team greatly improve or do you think Clarke will struggle?

I think Darren will rise to the occasion. At least that is what I would hope for him, otherwise it could be a costly and painful experience.

Even though I want the US team to win...I didn't know what happened with his wife and I'm glad for him that he is back and doing well.

She had passed away 6 weeks earlier, after a long fight with breast cancer.

I'm arriving at this thread late, the beginning of October...

What an amazing man to perform the way he has since his wife's death. Nobody is letting him forget it because the media constantly reminds him and the players are constantly expressing their sympathies, so can you imagine how incredible his focus must be to block all that out and play competitive golf at the level he has in the past couple months?

Other players have lost loved ones occasionally through the years, but Darren's display of courage and performance is one for the Hall of Fame.
