| Michelle Wie Confuses Me No, I don't mean that an old man like me goes all crazy when in the presence of a gorgeous teenager... I mean, I do, but that isn't the point...
I was just reading an article on the golf page of the MSN sports pages and it speculated what Michelle Wie's next move should be. One said compete against the men, the next said compete against the women by asking for an early entry to the LPGA Tour, and the third said finish high school, go to college and play there.
Consider the third option, (finish high school, then go to college and play there), how can Michelle Wie be a professional golfer and still be allowed to play golf in college? NCAA rules wouldn't allow it so I can only conclude the article is poorly written and they mean she would take off from college to play professionally...
Am I missing something?

| Clearly the writer of the column is not thinking clearly. Once an amatuer turns professional, they can not return to play that collegiate sports again. She could come back and play another sport (think Chris Weinke) such as softball.
If it was my daughter, I would want to get her experience on how to close out a win. If she starts on the LPGA, wins, and wins a lot, then move on to the men's tour. I wish her luck as she is a wonderful talent for her age.
Merry Christmas everyone.

| Maybe she should be winning consistantly on the LPGA before she attempts to win on the PGA.
(Just a thought )

| I think first off she going to have to learn to win period. She's got talent, but she's got to get rid of the leeches that are living off her promotional money. She's got to find the concentration and confidence to put all that talent to use. Too many people are seeing her as a female Tiger, and she's anything but. Let her play with the best women in the world and if she can put her game together and beat them "consistently", then throw her hat in the ring with the guys. I just feel sorry for the kid, she's pushing and being pushed way too hard..if they don't get off her back she's going fold period....

| I heard today she has a sponsor's exemption to an LPGA tournament. I suppose that's a switch from trying to get into men's tournaments.
I really would like to see her win an LPGA event...

| Now she has fallen and hurt her wrist. She's should be out for 4-6 weeks. I don't want to see that happen to anyone, but maybe the time off will do her good. Maybe she will re-evaluate her options and see that the LPGA Tour is where her emphasis should be.

| I think right now she should step back from the lime light, focus on school and play on the side. Maybe she's just trying too hard to make an impression.

| She'll be fine. A lot of pheonoms like her come up and then disappear. If this was going to happen to her, it would have already. She'll finish high school and go pro and have a great career. She's only a teenager still. Give her some time to grow up, develop her game, and stop trying to be a public figure. Once she does that, she will win consistently.
