Tiger's on a roll

Like him or not..............man can that guy golf. The first two rounds of the buick invintational looked iffy but he pulled it off. 7 staight wins.......wow. I think that he's going to be disappointed once his winning streak ends. There would be alot of pressure on him to win now..........more than usual. I bet his competition is looking forward too his streak ending.

That was a great tournney this weekend too! At least this will get all of the nay-sayers to stop trying to come up with reasons about why he wouldn't win in 2007.

No doubt the man is in charge right now. However I do not agree with this 7 in a row stuff. To me winning 7 in a row means he would have played 7 weeks in a row and won every week.
Then the media keeps going on about how he could break Lord Byron's record of 11 in a row. No he can't because Nelson won 11 in one season, and it was 11 consecutive tournaments.
Somehow I doubt that record will be broken, by anyone including Tiger.

Tiger said the same thing about his streak going from one season to the next.

The eagle putt that got Tiger back in this tournament was pretty amazing though.

Since this thread started, Tiger has lost over in Dubai, but considering how he fought to come back on the back nine and gave himself a chance to win... well... I want to look at his birth certificate to see how close to Roswell, New Mexico he was born. The man isn't human!

I remember back about 40 years ago when Frank Beard was the leading money winner with something like $176,000 for the whole year. There was a big hubub over a question some interviewer asked him. "Are golfers athletes?" Frank said no to varied degrees and in his own case, certainly not. A lot of people, (other PGA Tour professionals), took issue with this, but I don't think any of them ever envisioned someone like Tiger Woods. That long ago, they would have told you obvious muscles like the guys today can display would indicate a lack of flexibility... yeah, right... Look at what these guys do today with their "lack of flexibility!"

Even the LPGA ladies now hit the ball farther than the PGA Tour pros did back then... now where's that birth certificate?
