Some of you might have noticed the photos I posted of the big golf sale that is going on in my city this week. I helped set it up and I was on the floor as a salesman on Tuesday, and doing the same this weekend.
Anyways, there was a mint set of Cobra Forged CB irons there. I had seen these out at the store in the used section, I wanted to put them on hold. I went out to the store about 3 weeks ago and they were GONE
Well there they were at the sale. So I set them aside and made my deal. My total cost after working the sale will be $100 Cnd for these gorgeous billet forged irons. Camilo Villegas, Kevin Na, JB Holmes play the same irons I just bought.
$500 Cnd for a like new set of forged irons, and knowing they are used on the PGA Tour sure made my week
Here is a photo of the irons, taken from the Cobra website.
Mine have Dynamic Gold Sensicore S300 shafts, Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grips. Hardly a mark on these irons. I can't wait to put them into play in a few weeks!
But don't sell your Wishon irons first...
who knows...
cheers!
My Wishon's will not be going anywhere. No point of selling them as I won't get much for them anyways. They'll become my cold weather forged irons now.
Nice find at the golf sale! Hoepfully the weather will turn soon (for you) now.
It was very tempting to purchase a new Cobra Speed Driver for $199 yesterday. But I held back as I want to hit it before I buy it. Then that nice looking black/yellow Cobra Staff bag was staring me in the face That item might end up here if I can get it for the right price!
I know one thing, I can sure sell golf clubs etc. I was racking the sales up during the three days I worked on the sales floor!
I figure by the first of April I will be on the course. Last year my course opened March 28, and the year before it was the first week of April.
Boy the market manager for that store sure knows how to hire his salesmen. By the time their finished buying everything in the store there won't be anything left for the general public. Are you sure your a salesman, salemen dont usually drool all over their products. Go gettem guy

Trust me, there is still plenty of new and used clubs, bags etc etc in the store! There was plenty of great buys to go around. One privelege of working the sale is we get first crack at the merchandise. I was not the only one who bought clubs early!
You would have quite a drive from Houston! I am in St Thomas Ontario Canada. Located half way between Detroit MI and Toronto Ontario.
The golf store is a 5 minute drive from here, I go there at least once a week, if not more!
Yes it was a good deal on the irons. Anytime you can get a set of forged irons that have been slightly used for the price you have to buy them. I have been playing with forged Wishon's for two summers so I am used to the feel of forged. The Cobra's are very similar in size and shape to the 550C's I own. So it will not be hard to adjust to those irons.
