A superb third round 63 lifted the 31-year-old from two behind at halfway to a commanding 22-under-par, one off the record in relation to par after three rounds for a European Tour event.
His nearest challengers are Ryder Cup star Robert Karlsson of Sweden, his compatriot Christian Nilsson and Spain's Albvaro Velasco.
