I think Tiger brought the game of golf to viewers who would never ever pick up a club. Tiger has been a inspiration to so many and for that I believe I can say he is the greatest. Players of tomorrow may break his records and do much better, but it will be those who were influenced by Tiger.

I'd like to see a silly-season event where all the players have to use retro equipment from the 1960's and see just how good the young players of today really as compared to the oldies. I suspect they's still do better given the health and fitness and training advances ejoyed since the days of scotch and cigarettes. I do not think it is possible to really say who is best when comparing men seperated my different (2+ in this case) generations.
