Best low-mid price range golf balls???

Hey guys, I'm still a beginner of course, but even though I'm not very good i think I'm about ready to hit the golf course soon. Ill be taking an hour lesson at my local driving range this weekend to briefly cover the short game, and then the week after I'm going to hit a local course with a PGA professional to walk me through a couple of holes to learn the ways of the game.

Now I'm looking for opinions on the best golf balls in the $15-$20 range. I know that I'm not going to need to spend $40 for a dozen golf balls and my skill level, as i can see myself loosing $80 worth of balls my first day out. LOL, thats not cool.

So what do you guys recommend???

Thanks as always!!!

---Joe

Take a look on ebay for pearl grade or AAA grade golf balls, you will save a fortune in the long term.

Try Titleist NXT balls, if they prove to be too much $$$ then try looking at topflite titaniums, you should be able to pick these up very cheap.

something like this..

eBay: 36 Near Mint Titleist NXT Golf Balls FREE SHIPPING (item 270025849701 end time Sep-06-06 08:28:15 PDT)

Nice, i will check them all out......

I picked up a box of the Callaway Warbirds a few weeks back just for messing around in the front yard and what not, but ive never really hit them, and have nothing to compare them too...

this may be kinda a dumb questions... but i see in those pics from ebay, and the warbirds i have, that they have those little arrows on the ball. Do these have an actualy significance, or is this just decoration?

You will find that most of the balls that come from ebay have company logo's or pen marks on them, but what you lose by that you gain in the fact that you have saved a fortune on the balls.

As long as you look at pearl or grade AAA then you should be fine.

I'm not sure about the marks you refer to on the warbird balls, they may be something to do with that particular ball, design etc.

No worries, expensive lesson to learn that.

Pay £12.50 for 3 pro v1s or pay £40 for 40 grade AAAs, no brainer really.

are these the top flite balls you were talking about???

Sports Authority - Golf/Racquet: Golf Day Pro Shop: Balls: Golf Balls - Top Flite: Top-Flite XL2000 Double 15 Pack

30 balls for $20 isnt so bad. Im sure they are not the best ball, but im not spinning the ball or anything . Just wanna hit it straight.

I may pick up a pack of these, because next weekend i think im going out to a course for the first time with an instructor, and i doubt anything i bid on ebay for will arive in time.
