BlackMAX

I've been using Maxfli's BlackMAX series since it came out. I'm a huge fan of it. Though the balls are VERY expensive (in my opinion) it's great if you can afford it.

The balls aren't as durable as I'd like them to me, and my wedge just eats them up after about 2 days at a course...

It is the only ball that I've found in my budget that truly reduces side spin as much as I would like. The ball looks great, plays great, just isn't as durable as I'd hope. Plus it's expensive.

I'd recommend getting these on eBay because they'll run you about 50 per dozen, while on ebay it's about half the price.

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, check out the Precept U-Tri tour.

I actually use these balls on the special occasions ONLY! I've lost 3 of them so far and I paid 60 for one dozen.

Anyways, they are pretty durable for my family (they don't hit too far) but they lose their touch. In fact they have stains I can't get off!!

I was just looking at 10 dozen Maxfli's BlackMAX series off of ebay for only $150. I've also been using these balls since they came out. They are very expensive but if you can get a good deal on them they are a pleasure to golf with. They do stain very easy, but I've found if you give them a quick scrub with just a touch of javex they'll take on their original color.

I havent had the oppurtunity to use these. They arent really in my budget, but maybe Ill look on ebay to try them since you all say they are so great. How do you think they differ from some of the other balls?

Very good golf balls, don't own them but my friend let me test them out on a round of golf we played. I reccomend these balls to anyone, even though they cost quite a bit.

The balls are good but they aren't my favourite, my favourite would have to be ProV1's, although these in close second!

It's mainly in the quality of the ball, and the fact that they can do what other balls do...better. Every ball's aim and goal is to hopefully reduce curving, etc. and the BlackMAX does a pretty great job at it.

I did list an alternative if the BlackMAX isn't in your budget, but you should ALWAYS check eBay. They've got great deals on bulk orders...and if you don't golf often you should be able to supply yourself with a 6 month stash for less then $200.00.

I would never buy a dozen for more then $30. I think it is a complete waste of money to buy these kinds of golf balls considering it won't effect your game to the point where it is worth $60 a dozen.

If I am able to find a ProV1 on the course that one of the rich old guys have lost I jump on the oppertunity. These balls arn't bad if you buy them in bulk (like said above) but I still think it is a price not worth paying.

I will never spend lots on money just to loose them on the water hazards. I just bought 15 Top Flite XL2000 Super Titanium, and I had a few of those on a driving range, and boy they are awsome!!! At the same time I was using other balls, and that one was best overall!!

If you paid 60 a doz you are getting ripped off you can buy those balls for less than 30 in some places. Although a great ball, because of the limited durability throw them in the shag bag after one round.
