Recommend a Ball For Me

I am 16 years old. I have only been playing for about a month. I am yet to keep score while playing, I just go out for fun and practice. I am now hitting drives about 230 yards, give or take. I prefer softer balls because I feel my short game is much better with them. I have been using Top Flite D2 Straights and am looking for something with more feel for pitching wedge shots.

Thanks in advance. I know my question is very broad.

If I may recemend the Top Flite D2 Feel golf balls. They are softer for shots round the green. I've used them a lot and I like the feel of them. If you want more of a high quality ball try out some Titleist HP SF tour golf balls. I bought them and yet to use in a full game but I've putted w/ them and hit a few chips and they feel nice and soft too. Or another brand is Callaway HX 56 they are pretty spendy I think, at around 40 bucks for 12. But they are used by pros who like softer feeling golf balls. Last but not least you could try used Titleist PRO V1's. They have a soft feel w/ distance too.

Srixon AD-333, not cheap but not real pricey either....

Wilson 50. It is a soft 50 compression ball. Spins decently and is great off the driver and irons.
Here in Canada a dozen sells for $24, far cheaper than Pro V's and a very good ball.
I have played them and they are good balls for the price.

Check out the Nike power distance (green box), I think it's an excellent ball, soft and long. Best of all is the price $20/dozen. I tried it out this summer and I plan on using it this fall when the weather gets cooler.
