I tried the V1x. Great feel on the green. Not as durable as I would like. The soft layer which gives the ball its great feel comes at a price. Irons and especially wedges cut the ball bad, had one ball look like someone had taken a razor and cut it. I heard the V1 are more durable, so i'll try them next.

Original V1 is more durable, no doubt. They bite harder on greens as well. The V1X is supposed to be longer but I don't notice a difference.

yeah, now that you mention it, I really didnt gain any distance either.

I think the Pro V1x is a rock myself, I'm going to pick me up some $14.99 used pro v's and see how they treat me. They looked brand new so what the heck; cheaper many other new ones.
