Anyone ever heard of Silver Lakes? This is where I live. It is a golf course community which boasts the finest in all the high desert (okay, so that is a biased opinion but I truly do love it here).

It may be a sin for me to admit it, but I am a non-golfer.

That's right boys and girls...I do not golf. I'm not exactly the most athletic person in the world, and to be frank with you all, I am neither the person to whom anyone would willingly want to give a long metal stick with a heavy metal object at the end of it which is used to hit a rock-hard sphere into the direction of other human beings.

At any rate, I wanted to post here for a lot of different reasons, with the most important one being to brag about where I live. I don't do it much, but now that I have been gainfully employed by our on-site hotel, and since before I had been hired there had never seen the inside of any of the rooms, I can say truly that if there is anyplace any one of you should try a "stay and play" at, it would be Silver Lakes.

Ours is a Ted Robinson designed course, and did I mention that Mark Johnson lives here when he is not touring?

At any rate, if you'd like to check out our course here, give me a PM and I will happily give you the pro shop phone number. All the guys in the Pro shop are friendly and attentive and the snack shop staff are, too.

Silver Lakes is a private course, so if you want to play here, you have to stay here!

Our best climate is Spring time, but right now is pretty good. It gets a little frigid from November until early March.
