I played the 'Mountain' Course yesterday, and I was definitely impressed by the course, the staff, and the reasonable rates.
It's rated @ 71.1 with a slope of 130, so it's got some difficulty to it. Pinpoint accuracy with approach shots would be well rewarded here, as the green are very tricky to read, and they all slope away and towards the nasty stuff. Chip over the green, and you're facing an uphill chip back out of some nasty rough, or you're rolling OB into the arroyo which runs throughout the entire course.
If you're ever in the area, go take a shot at it - it's money and time well spent for any golfer who can appreciate a challenging public course, without feeling like the course is too hard.
