I've been lurking on this site for a few months reading reviews and such to help get myself back into the game. [nice site BTW] Well, I thought it was about time to register and say hi.

I'm 27, I used to play in highschool with friends almost every weekend0 weather permitting and seemed to be a fairly average junior player. Then I went off to college and forgot about the game due to studying and working to support myself. Well almost 8 years later I am starting to get back into the game (and introduce my wife to golf as well.) I played a few holes this summer nothing fancy but boy was that interesting stuff...

Always an adventure when you play for the first time in ages...

Sorta makes you wonder why you decide to play again, at first.

Yes, it was different... First, I bit off more than I could chew and signed up for a "fun" sramble tournament that had some real serious hitters. But after a while it started coming back to me... now I have all winter to hit at the driving ranges and try out much newer equipment.

why is it that at the range i drive it long and straight and in a match i slice it 40 yards left.

LOL - Because on the course you are not given a "warm up" shot. I was the same way this past sumer.
