Haha. It is acually my dog's name. he isnt named after the scotch, he is named after another dog with that name

Actually, it makes more sense than you could know, or a coincidence at least.

We once had a Shetland Sheepdog puppy and were talking about what to name him. I wanted to name him after a brand of scotch whiskey, but my kids were little and didn't understand when I suggested Chivas. Fortunately, they didn't notice a bottle of Dimple we had, but they were OK with Pinch, so that's what he became.

Well, I'm certainly glad we could be of service!

I also had a dog named Bogey years ago... he was a lop eared mutt, dirty white, walked funny, couldn't even bark right without it sounding like a baby crying... so slightly off in every way. Bogey was the perfect name.

I think one of the great dog names of all times is Arnold Palmer's dog... "Mulligan"...
