I second the motion... My wife, mother-law and sister-in-law are currently out of town, returning tonight just in time for me to make a special dinner for them... give them their presents, etc. Crazy as it might sound, I think we do more for Mother's Day or Father's Day than we do for our birthdays...

Is this just for america? Mother day for the Uk was back in feb.

Agreed - I never know the U.K. celebrated Mother's Day, much less that it was a different time of year. My wife comes from Jamaica and while there, I never heard it mentioned. I would have thought that as part of the Commonwealth, they would have adopted all the same holidays, not just some like they seem to have done.
