I am new to the forum and new to the game of golf. My name is Ross. I am almost 17 and live in South Carolina. I have just taken up golf because my knees no longer allow me to play baseball as well as I once could. I consider myself to be pretty good considering I am only just starting out. Today, I played on a real course for the first time. I have played twice on a par three course in England, well over a year ago. My closest course is Pinetuck in Rock Hill, SC. I played the front 9 at Pinetuck this morning. My iron shots were much better than I expected. I read puts pretty well but struggled with a few drives and my pitching wedge shots. I am looking forward to learning much more and enjoying the forum.

Welcome aboard Ross, always room for another duffer. If you've checked out the board I think you'll find that the board is friendly and informal, so if you see an interesting posting, by all means jump in and say hello. If you got golf questions, suggestions or just so good advice then post it and someone will get back to you. Keep up the practice, thats the only way to get a resonable game. Like I said welcome
