Yeah powerfade, the game of golf is getting the silly little white ball in the hole, getting it there is what makes it a game. I've played with guys who can out drive me by 80 to 100 yards, but the short game stinks, and their putting is sometimes almost comical. I guess with age we get sneaky wisdom, find the shortest route between two points. The expression "Drive for show and putt for dough" should include pitch/chip/bump&run, you cant score worth a damn if you cant get it on the green. I'll take the fairway any day....
