Just saying hello

I'm just making a quick intro before i start posting.

I'm a 34 year old male and I started playing golf when i was about 8. I grew up next to a golf links in south west England and stopped playing golf when i was around 15 (i think women may have been to blame ). Anyway, I now live in North Carolina and decided in June to buy golf clubs and will be joining my local club this weekend.
Although I haven't played much since i was 15, I think I'm doing pretty good. I average around +15 and hit a driver around 285 yards (300 on the range).
I'm looking forward to joining a golf club and finally getting a handicap.

Chris.

For someone just getting back into golf your hitting a pretty big ball Chris, keep up the good work. Welcome to golf forum, I think if you check us out you'll find the board is friendly and informal, so if you see an interesting posting by all means jump in an say hello. If you have a specific golf question post it and I'm sure some of the gang will get back to you pdq. Again welcome and hope to hear from you .

Del

Welcome to the clubhouse CMJ, it'll be good to have someone strong in the force around the place. But I'm wondering if that might be considered as performance enhancing abilities?

Actually, I'm on my way to St. Louis tomorrow and to Raleigh Sunday through next Thursday, but I won't have time to play this time. My daughter lives in Cary, so I'll be staying there. I'll be back at Thanksgiving, so maybe we can play then. Thanks for the invite...
