I'm just making a quick intro before i start posting.

I'm a 34 year old male and I started playing golf when i was about 8. I grew up next to a golf links in south west England and stopped playing golf when i was around 15 (i think women may have been to blame ). Anyway, I now live in North Carolina and decided in June to buy golf clubs and will be joining my local club this weekend.
Although I haven't played much since i was 15, I think I'm doing pretty good. I average around +15 and hit a driver around 285 yards (300 on the range).
I'm looking forward to joining a golf club and finally getting a handicap.

Welcome to golf forum, I think if you check us out you'll find the board is friendly and informal, so if you see an interesting posting by all means jump in an say hello. Actually, I'm on my way to St. Louis tomorrow and to Raleigh Sunday through next Thursday, but I won't have time to play this time. My daughter lives in Cary, so I'll be staying there. I'll be back at Thanksgiving, so maybe we can play then. Thanks for the invite...
