Callaway X-16 or X-18?

Hey Guys

I'm about a 25 handicap and I am going to college in the spring. I am going to be on the golf team so I thought I'd upgrade my clubs, starting with my irons. I went into Edwin Watts and they recommended the X-18s and I love them. However I just found a set of new set of X-16s for $400. What do you guys recommend? Is there a huge difference?

Thanks

no at your handicap either set is a great choice. Callaway makes a great forgiving iron. Just be sure to get the right shaft flex. I play with Hogan blades now but still enjoy taking my x-14 out for a spin. I did have to reshaft them to a 5.5 rifle as the cw uniflex shaft was giving me distance control fits. good luck

So, which did you decide on? I've been going through a process of trying most of what Callaway made in recent years and have pretty much settled on the X18 irons to try. On the range, hitting only a 5 and 7 iron from a demo set, I really like them as a better alternative to the Big Bertha set I bought, but then didn't like.
