Oppions on the 690 C.B. Irons

I have been eying a set of Titilest 690 C.B. Irons that have been at my Shop for a while. Does anyone have any advice or reviews that they want to share about these irons?

I have hit some shots on the range with those irons. Good solid irons. Maybe not quite as forgiving as some other CB irons though. However the feeling of forged irons is totally different than cast. You can control the ball flight a bit better with the forged irons.
If the price is right, they would be a good investment. As long as you can hit them properly of course!

These are the best irons I have ever hit. If you are not accustom to a thin soled, forged club they will definitly take some range time to feel out. I don't get a lot of release on the green with these irons. They are long with a high trajectory that lands the ball soft. You can't leave it short and expect the ball to track to the hole with these, so you really have to dial in your distance. If you want another option, the Mizuno MP 32 is nice. If you got the Titleist I would love to hear how you like them.

I havent tried the cb. but I own the mb blades and I cant imagine ever wanting to get another set of irons, the feel of a perfectly struck ball makes you never want to put them down. I totally agree with ess32 about distance control too! In my opinion you cant go wrong with titleist forged irons.

i hit those before i bought my mizunos 2 years ago, I thought they looked a bit "chubby" because of the big top edge compared to the size of the face. They felt good but they didn't spin as much as i'd like. the mp-32's are definitely better
