TM RAC HT's

I just got these the other day, and was itching to use them tonight!

First, these things just stand out in the stores. The hybrids are what sold me. There's a 3 and a 4 hybrid in there, and they come with cool little covers. Of course, the PW through 5 iron are standard irons. I opted for a steel shaft.

Next, I've always sucked with my irons. May as well be honest about it. Tonight, while using these, it wasn't much of a difference "but" when I did connect, it was a higher loft than normal, and just a pretty site to see. It's making me want to go back out there and hit another bucket, before they close. I'm seriously thinking about it... they are open til 10PM... but I digress... The reason I wasn't hitting them perfectly is because I have a problem with "coming up" when I'm on my downswing. I guess I get anxious to see the ball flight. One good thing about these irons is that I am "actually" looking forward to going back and practicing more and more.

Finally, the hybrids are phenominal! They are like hitting a fairway wood! Nice, high lofts to them, and much easier to hit than my old 3 and 4 irons. I love them, and I hit these ones real well, tonight.

I'm not sure what year these are, but I don't care. They work for me. I got them for $449 - 20% since this was the last set the store had. They were floor models, but I had a fellow golfer tell me what to look for when buying floor models. There were no scratches or scuffs on them, and I'm very happy with the deal I got. If I shopped around, I could have gotten them cheaper... but, I'm a instant gratification kind-of guy. Wife loves that one. LOL!

So that's that. I'll report more as my season progresses. Happy golfing!

Del,

I didn't mean to sound like a braggart, but how could I not? I got a rippin' deal, IMO, on these things. The cool thing about them is I can hit them "all" very well, now. I have gone to the driving range 4 times this week alone, and I'm typically getting the big bucket of balls... sometimes two. I've never been able to hit irons... "EVER"! These things are too forgiving for words. I'm looking forward to this season, that's for sure.

I'm still having a slight problem with my hybrids, though. When I tee up, the fly high and far. When I try not teeing up, I sometimes top the ball off and worm burn. Not sure what that's all about. I never look up... Maybe I'm choking down too far, or I could be trying to swing them too much like a wood. Still working on this...
