Wedge Question???

I have a set of G10's (4-UW) and I also have a Titleist Vokey SM 60 degree lob wedge. I am wanting your opinions on what other type/degree wedge I should buy to fill the void from UW to Lob. I was thinking about another Spin Milled at 54 degrees? Not sure what bounce to get either? Help!

Well what ° is the UW of the Ping g10's? You should get a sand wedge and get rig of the lob because I've herd 60° are one of the hardest clubs to hit effectively.

Pings gap wedges are 50 degrees. I have always carried a 60 degree lob wedge and wouldn't think of using anything else around the greens. I just don't know if I should get a 54 or 56 to fill the void in my wedges.

I would go 56. is going to be for the sand? then go a higher bounce. my 56 is a low bounce. that's what I like.

I have a CG10 54° one dot wedge for the sand. I haven't got to try it in sand but I was a good sand player so I should have no problem using a lower bounce. I think you should go with a 56°.

My Vokey Spin Milled is a 4 bounce... I love how it lays flat, and you wouldn't believe the spin and control around the greens it has. I use my gap from 100-120 yards depending on the conditions, so I'm wanting the best degree from 100 in. As far as sand goes, I have always used my lob and really have not had a problem with it. Have any of you used Clevelands wedges with the Zip Grooves? Any other wedge suggestions.

Hey,

If your looking for a Sand Wedge for Approach then I would suggest you to used a 56* with a standard bounce, like 12* bounce.

But if you want or need a club for sand trap then a 60* wedge is the better choice.

A 60* LW is not used for long yardage, hence it is not difficult to hit it. We often should "OPEN" the club face and slide and make used of the Bounce.

A low bounce is better with wet sand bunker or soft sand, while a standard bounce like 10* is the better all around choice.

We should remember that SW & LW are the best choice for 50yards and below approach. We do it with an open club face and we do not closed it like our irons.
