Arrow Jim Furyk - Golf Profile

Background:
A native of West Chester, PA, Furyk began his training through his father, a head pro at a local country club. He was a state championship player at Manheim Township High School and attended the University of Arizona. Furyk is known for his unorthodox, looping swing, which he credits to his dad. He resides in Florida with his wife and daughter.

Professional Career Bio:
Furyk began winning PGA Tournaments with amateur status, and won a tournament per year between 1998 and 2003. This streak placed him second behind only Tiger Woods in the Official World Golf Rankings. In 2004, Furyk was off the tour due to surgery for a wrist injury, but he returned to the money list in 2005 and 2006. His first major championship win was in 2003 at the U.S. Open, where he tied the record for the lowest 72-hole score in U.S. Open history.
