| Sorenstam defends title at Dubai Ladies Masters
LPGA Tour and World Golf Halls of Fame member Annika Sorenstam claimed her 16th international victory over the weekend in the Ladies European Tour's season-ending Dubai Ladies Masters on Sunday. The victory marked the first of the season for Sorenstam, the defending champion, who suffered neck and back injuries in April. The 69-time LPGA Tour winner closed with a 2-under-par 70 to finish at 10-under-par 278 (70-70-68-70) on the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, and finishing two strokes ahead of runner-up England's Laura Davies (280) and Denmark's Iben Tenning (280). |
