I think to gain the confidance she needs, Michelle needs to win on her own. Secondly, there are not a lot of people who I would say could beat Tiger on any given day, but I think Phil is one of them. I bet over the long term, they would play pretty even.

| Tiger has dominated Phil his entire career and the majors show that 12-3. Phil had a good year contrasting a bad year for Tiger and all of a sudden they are even? i don't think so, Phil has to prove himself in the long run and compete consistantly with Tiger before they can even be mentioned in the same sentence. Phil has done nothing since his US Open collapse which I think has destroyed all of the Progress he had made winning 3 majors in 3 years. He made progress but is still not even close to Tiger.

| Haha she shot 81 yesterday in a men's japan tour event, after saying how she is planning to play MORE men's events next year. She really needs to learn to beat her peers before she goes record chasing, its getting kind of pathetic

This has been PATHETIC from the first time she teed it up with the Men.
Her management team and parents need to be told enough is enough. Would I pay to go see her play in a Men's Event? Not a chance. Would she be the main reason I went to a LPGA Event? NO. She was not at the CN Open this past summer in London ON. I went to watch that event twice and once during a practice round. Record crowds for an LPGA event attended that week. No Wie, people still came to watch.
Enough is enough. IMO everytime she plays in a PGA Event she is taking away a spot from someone who is trying to make a living and retain his card.
Tell you one thing, she better start doing something or that big fat NIKE contract won't be renewed down the road!
Don't take this the wrong way. I have nothing against her personally. I just feel she is being mislead and not being properly guided in her golf career. She won no major Junior events before turning pro. She does not average 300+ off the tee, that was HYPED up to the media. She is a damn good golfer for her age, but she needs to improve in certain areas of her game. She will win on the LPGA in the near future I suspect. She should concentrate her efforts in those events. Once she is eligible to be a full playing member of the LPGA then go to it and have fun. |

| She gets a crapload of money to lose to the men so you can't blame her.
She does remind me a ton of Happy Gilmore though. Crazy talent but not at all controlled and jumping into tournaments she's not ready for. She will get near last in many events until she finally goes back to Chubbs for lessons. Then she will take down Shooter McGavin in the Tour Championship and win her grandma's house back!!!!
I think I lost my train of thought somewhere..... |

| LOL... coffee, nose... keyboard... you know the bit...
I would just like to see her prove herself against her peers before she tries to play cross gender golf. I keep thinking about Laura Baugh from the early 70's, who came to the LPGA Tour with great promise and tons of wins as a junior and an amateur, but never won as a professional if memory serves me right. She had the looks, the swing, the endorsements and the personality, but I wonder if she didn't have the motivation because the money came too easily?

| I was just reading over on ESPN that she earns an estimated 10Million dollars for her efforts in the "cross gender" golf world. For that kind of money I would shoot 81-80 every single tournament.
But I do agree it would be nice to see someone (her in particular) earn a better reputation as a great golfer amongst her peers and then make the move. Instead - now she is sort of known as "also played" competitor...
