I was reading the paper today and saw that Wie is now wearing a hard cast on her injured wrist.

I wonder if this is her 'out' for the first LPGA event she was invited to.

Wie wasn't planning to play in either the SBS Open or the Fields Open the next two weeks in Honolulu when the LPGA Tour season gets under way. But the injury raises questions whether she will recover in time for the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first LPGA major of the year that starts March 29.

A year ago, Wie was one shot behind when she faced a 25-foot chip from just off the 18th green at Nabisco. She hit it 10 feet by, then missed the birdie putt that would have allowed her to join a playoff.

Wie had at least a share of the lead on the back nine of two other LPGA majors last year, but faltered badly at the end of the season. She finished out of the top 10 in her final two LPGA Tour starts and has missed the cut in her last four appearances against the men.

4-6 weeks that we will not be subjected to the WIE MANIA. Which most of us have grown sick of.

It's been quite a while. Is she back yet? I don't recall seeing her name among those playing last weekend. Inquiring minds want to know!

I dunno... I rather like to see her play. I'd like to see her WIN to validate what stock people have placed in her. Maybe I could make a dollar or two on my Nike stock? Would that be so terrible?

By the way Golfbum... that 14 days until you leave Ford must be over by now, huh?

The problem I have with her winning is we'll be right back into the WIE MEDIA HYPE. I for one do not miss that at all.

As for my time left with Ford Mo Co. TWO DAYS as of April 20. I am taking one week inverse layoff, which starts on April 23. My official retirement date is May 1, the pension cheque will be in the bank by time I wake up that morning

I also start my new part time job at the golf course that day.
